What We Do

How we raise funds & where the money goes…

What we do

The Hayes PTA aims to provide enjoyable fundraising and social events for our school community. Along the way, we raise money for The Hayes School to use in ways that will benefit the children. Some examples of events we run are:

  • Summer and Christmas fairs

  • Mother's Day and Father's Day gift rooms

  • School discos

  • Fireworks display

  • After-school bake sales and ice cream sales

  • Breakfast with Santa

Due to the pandemic we are limited to the type of events we are allowed to organise. We are always trying to think of new ideas and welcome any you may have! As things return to normal, we will endeavour to start running these fun and much-loved events again. Check this page for launch updates!

Where all our fundraising money goes

What is our current main focus?

We are currently raising funds to help pay for new IT equipment iPads and laptops to be used by the children and staff. We have agreed that we will go 50/50 with school and pay £10,000 towards the purchase of the IT equipment.

Along with our everyday fundraising efforts we have also set up a just giving page to help us reach our target. You can donate by visiting our JustGiving page.

Recent Christmas purchases for the children:

  • Class Christmas Decoration Goody Bag - a selection of Christmas decorations to help add some festive spirit and excitement to each classroom

  • Christmas crackers for every child to have with their school Christmas lunch

  • Fairy lights to decorate and light up the front of the school

Recently and in the past your donations have gone towards:

  • Playground barriers

  • Welcome back to school banners

  • New reading scheme contribution of £2,000

  • Air-con in the school hall
